PROCUREMENT DEPARTMENT FUNCTIONS

The Procurement Department have the following Roles to be included in the NAMA website re-engineering;
1. Initiate Policies and establish procedures relating to procurement activities and ensure full compliance with Public Procurement Acts 2007and all other guidelines and regulation as stipulated by the Bureau of Public Procurement.
2. Advertisement and placement of Procurement notices for all goods, works and services to be procured by the Agency.
3. Issuing of LPO and Job Order and other award instrument after appropriate approval from the Managing Director/Chief Executive, the Parastatals Tenders Board, Ministerial Tenders Board and the Federal Executive Council as the case may be.
4. Ensuring that all companies that bid to execute projects for the Agency have a good track record and are not involved in fraudulent activities through due diligence.
5. Ensure that the Agency derives value for money from all its procurement processes.
6. Ensure that the Agency Procures modern and state of the art equipment with current technology that will last for a reasonable period of time.
7. Preparation of an annual procurement plan for capital projects to be undertaken by the Agency.
8. Provide inputs for preparation of the Agency’s budget for submission to the Federal Government.
9. Any assigned adhoc duty by the Management.
