AT NAMA’s HAPPY HOUR, MD URGES STAFF TO BE FOCUSED
The year 2012 ended on a happy note for the staff of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency with the declaration of Happy Hour by the Managing Director, Engr. Mazi Nnamdi Udoh on Monday December 24 to interact with them and to say thank you as the year comes to end.
The happy hour which took place at NAMA Annex, was full of conviviality, joy, pat on the back and love shared together by the Managing Director, staff and management of the Agency.
In an address to the mammoth gathering of staff, Engr Udoh thanked the staff and encouraged them to be focused and be diligent in their duties in the year 2013. According to the MD/CE, “Be focus, diligent and do not allow the sector and the happenings to distract you in the performance of your duties” saying that “I am in a hurry to see to the development of the Agency in line with the transformation agenda of the Federal Government”.
However, while encouraging staff to be more dedicated, the Managing Director said that inspite of the negative comments about us, the Nigerian airspace is very safe for travelers, stating that President Goodluck Jonathan has confirmed that the airspace is safe and urged staff to put extra efforts and commitment to make NAMA great.
The staff who dressed in colourful NAMA fabric with the MD/CE, displayed a carnival like atmosphere as they appeared in varieties of styles to mark the occasion. The Managing Director who goes about applauding staff and rejoicing with them on the achievement so far was full of life, dancing, hugging and joking with staff who milled around him. In his words, “Do not categorize anyone. Relax and have something to drink and eat”, he yelled.
In his usual characteristics, the Managing Director, Engr. Nnamdi Udoh taught staff a lesson in humility when he joined the caterers to dish out food to staff both lowly and the mighty. He At the occasion, he presented two Galaxy Samsung III phones to Ms Queen Onyewu of the Human Resources Department for punctuality to work and Mr. Rotimi Taiwo of the Accounts Department for his meticulous treatment of vouchers and dedication to work. He urged the staff to always do the right thing because “there is nothing you do that will go unnoticed. Endeavour always to do your best. Though we cannot present awards to all of you but I know you all have done well”, he noted.
To round up the event of the day, the Managing Director, Mazi Nnamdi Udoh commissioned the signpost of the NAMA Headquarters Annex presented by two serving youth corpers, Mr. Chika Akabuogu, Nwachukwu Humphrey and Basil Obinna Njoku.
