ICT Vision:

ICT Mission:
The mission of Information Communications Technology Department is to provide leadership and guidance, service and support, education and technical expertise required to establish and maintain information technology systems for the Agency in accordance with the vision, mission, values and goals of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA).
ICT Guiding Principles:
“The Nigerian Airspace Management Agency will use proven information technologies to deliver the best possible service to its customers and the public. Systems will be selected and deployed based on their effectiveness in improving the access to and exchange of information as well as the productivity of staff in furtherance of the Agency’s objective. Systems should be intuitive, easy to use, and integrated with other systems to eliminate duplication and redundant data entry. The Agency will commit the necessary resources to support these systems and ensure their security, reliability and accuracy. There will be appropriate backup and disaster recovery.”
Application of Information Communications Technology:
The successful application of information communications technology at NAMA on a sustained consistent basis will:
1. Enhance airspace safety.
2. Provide all staff access to technological resources across social, economic, and physical barriers.
3. Ensure that information technology is aligned to agency’s vision, mission and goals
4. Ensure that the information technology is run as both a cost and profit centre
5. Consider ease-of-use in the adoption of any new technology.
6. Encourage and support creative and innovative uses of technology.
7. Be proactive in the application of technological solutions.
8. Require collaborative input in technology decision-making.
9. Be implemented along with appropriate technical support staff to meet the demands of the new technology resources and programs.
10. Support the economic and workforce development goals of the agency.
11. Recognize the need to provide ongoing training and support opportunities for staff to effectively use technology.
12. Recognize the need to provide ongoing training and re-training opportunities for ICT dept staff for effectiveness and efficiency.

01. Business Operation Support (BOS)
OBJECTIVE:
To deploy, support, repair and maintain all End user devices and software (based on industry standard and best practice) which are located in the Agency – enterprise wide. These are essentially desktop and portable devices and software.
JOB SCHEDULE FOR BUSINESS OPERATIONS SUPPORT:
- Ensure integrity of all installed applications
- Provide third level Desktops system support
- Provide Desktop office automation software support.
- Install Desktop software
- Conduct user awareness training.
- Make recommendations on software and development tools acquisition.
- Involved in web technology roles.
- Administer Access Control Systems
- Managing Intranet hosting service operations.
- Performing batch processing
- Involved in software project management.
- Creating key performance indication/ metrics report.
- Involved in disaster planning/recovery.

02. Business Intelligence Systems Unit (BIS)
FUNCTIONS OF THE BIS UNIT:
- Software support services: Line of Business Applications, etc.
- Involved in Software procurement
- Acting as primary liaison between software project, development team and the various service/support
- Software analysis and evaluation
- Involved in database management.
- Programming and writing of scripts/batch files.
- Software design and development.
- Involved in change management and project management.
- Design and implementation of data centers and warehousing.
- Implementation of distributed and stand-alone software.
- Web Portal, intranet portal and web technologies administration
- Maintain a library of system documentation.
- Acting as primary liaison between software project, development team and the various service/support and operation units.
- Planning roll-out activities, procedures and policies for repeatable practices.
- Design, Maintain and Support Office Automation and Intelligence Systems.

03. Information Technology Service Management Unit (ITSM)
ITSM JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Help Desk and Service Desk function
- Provide first and second level support
- Receive user complaints
- Escalate third level support issues to the relevant
- Involved in project management
- Participate in change management issues and activities
- Liaise with the ICT services/support units to ensure minimum downtime
- Manage call center activities
- Assist in internal customer training
- Forecasting and managing user system/services requirement
- Advice on training needs of users.
- Co-ordinate and administer user problem resolution
- Assist in ensuring that service levels requirement are met

NETCOMMS JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in the design and implementation of Enterprise Network infrastructure/architecture.
- Co-ordinate ICT network maintenance and repair activities
- Advice on future communications and enhancements or changes to the network.
- Implementation of LAN, MAN, WAN infrastructure.
- Manage and administer the network
- Implement and monitor Network security including Anti -Virusipate in change management issues and activities
- Involved in the administration of internet/web Technologies and facilities.

05. Reprographics Unit
INTRODUCTION:
Reprography has enhanced the use of official document and filing materials. Users can now have access to copies of materials even in a situation where somebody is using the original, photocopies could be made for others.
Definition:
Reprography is a term that is now used in place of Photo Duplicating,
Photocopying, Duplicating, Printing, Document reproduction or Documentary reproduction.
Overview of Reprographic Services in NAMA:
• Reprographic services encompasses the provision and maintenance of machines, such that aim at making printed materials more easily available as xerographic printing, which involves a photographic process that is completely dry, using no solutions or fumes, and permanent copies can be produced from the original document within a few minutes.
• Reprography serves many roles in libraries and these roles amongst others include dissemination of information on a large scale among offices and departments.
• Reproduction and catalogue preservation of records, security, storage of important documents, securing the protection of information in rare and important texts, extensive republications of information of unique collection of data in the Agency.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY:
- Printing bulk copies of different types.
- Setting up and operating a variety of photocopiers, including digital printing machines.
- Ordering replacement supplies.
- Checking that the machines are working properly.ntation of LAN, MAN, WAN infrastructure.
- Mounting and aligning printing plates and cylinders on printing presses.
- Ensuring that the ink, chemicals, toner and color saturation controls are set at the correct levels for each job.

- Printing Security - Security incidents caused by unsecured endpoints are real threats to data security. Protecting your printer from outside cyber-attacks and internal data loss is crucial
